The Two of Them
The small one has hair of chestnut
And smiles of joy.
The other has hair like brown sugar
And smile oh so sweet.
They spin and laugh together
And are quite the same-
With lovely ringlets
And spirits shining.
Though their ages are quite different,
They share something so special-
Their birthday is the same.
The seventeenth of July is both their favorite day.
