Poem

My Everything

You are my pot of gold
At the end of every rainbow
Or the taste of a warm chocolate chip cookie
That melts in my mouth.
You are the pitter patter
Of a light rain fall
Or the power of a thunderstorm.
You are the joy on a child's face
That sits on Santa's lap
Or the happiness in every person's heart
When they see fireworks on the Fourth of July.
You are the sweet feeling of a mother's touch
Or the soothing sound of a lullaby.
You are the rush on a roller coaster
Or the cooling relief of lemonade
On a hot summer's day.
You are a deep red rose
Or a beautiful sunset.
You are my everything
That I wish I could have,
But cannot find.
